Amanda Snyder is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her education includes a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Arcadia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Bloomsburg University. She has been employed with Genesis House since 2009. At Genesis House, she has focused on treating substance use disorder, mental health, and criminal thinking patterns. Amanda specializes in working with male ex-offenders with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Amanda focuses on the use of Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other evidenced-based practices to provide individualized services to each of her clients. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her son, husband and three dogs. She enjoys outdoor activities and riding motorcycles with her husband.
